Our concept is derived around Rock Mechanics, therefore allowing us to maintain a high knowledge base in this area.
We have a team of engineers with strengths in the Rock Mechanics field which allows us to undertake project planning and management, design, instrumentation and monitoring, data processing, numerical analysis, and reporting, as well as targeted research and development activities.
Our engineers can provide consultation and expert evaluations regardless of the complexity or the extent of the situation. We offer a wide array of consultation services varying from: building specialized equipment, providing final reports, to data analysis. We have the ability to customize equipments based on your requests pertaining to the oil and gas industry.
Making predictions of rock mass response and fluid flow through rock masses requires quantitative models of the governing deformation and fracture processes. Building these models and performing analytic and numerical design calculations from the models requires information about specific rock properties. MetaRock Laboratories enables our customers to measure rock properties under a wide range of simulated service conditions up to very high pressures and complex load paths. MetaRock laboratory also developed independent experiments which help in the Geomechanics analysis. This type on analysis provides vital understanding of the behavior of hydrocarbon reservoir rocks as they undergo the mechanical changes associated with drilling and production activity.
MetaRock Laboratories is also known for fundamental research and applications covering a wide range of engineering problems. Over the years, a triaxial compressive strength system has been developed, verified and applied realistic material models and computational procedures for characterizing the behavior of soils, rocks, and concrete.

Triaxial tests are done to measure the rock strength as a function of confining pressure. The testing procedure is to maintain both confining pressure and internal axial load for two hours. After maintaining a base line, the sample is loaded axially by increasing the axial stress with constant strain rates at 0.006 mil/sec. At the onset of failure, the confining pressure is maintained, and the axial loading continues until failure occurs. Expected duration of the test is approximately twelve hours. Axial, radial, external load, internal load, and confining pressure data will be provided along with a report that will look similar to the following snapshots.
