Unsteady State Relative Permeability

Relative permeability describes multiphase flow — how readily each fluid moves when two or more are present in the rock. Because it is saturation dependent, it has to be measured rather than assumed.

What you receive

  • Relative permeability curves
  • Input data for reservoir models
  • Comparison of each fluid’s ability to flow
  • Programme design support from our EOR team

Recommended for high permeability rocks. Sample dimensions: 2″ length × 1″ diameter.

  • Relative permeability curves are input data reservoir engineers and petrophysicists rely on when building and validating models.
  • Measuring them in the laboratory removes a significant source of uncertainty from the model rather than carrying an assumed correlation through the analysis.
  • Our EOR specialists will help define an optimum testing programme for measuring relative permeability, matched to the fields and models you are validating against.
  • That usually means fewer, better-chosen tests rather than a broad sweep.
